We have seen most of the companies have their professional emails like firstname.lastname@example.org. So if you have a company or a blog and you are using Gmail as your email then its not looks professional. Today I will show you step by step process how to create a professional email address for your website or blog.
What is Professional Email address?
An email address which you make using your website domain is called a professional email address. If you have a company or looking to start a company then you need an email address for your company. But if you use free emails like Gmail, Yahoo or any other it will put a bad impact on your customers. So always use a professional email address for your business.
How to create a professional email address?
To create a professional email address you have to log in to Cpanel that is provided by your hosting. Go to Yourname.com/cpanel or Yourname.com:2083. It will open your panel login screen. Use your username and password to log in. After logging in, scroll down and find Email box.
Then click on the first link which is “Email Accounts”. It will show you a form like a signup form.
In the first box write the email address you want to use. For example, if you are going to create a support email address then just type “support” or if you are going to create admin email just type “admin” or use any other that you want to use.
Now choose a domain name from the dropdown list. If you have multiple domains parked on your host choose the domain for which you looking to create an email.
After that choose your password. I recommend you to choose a strong password for safety. You can use the password generator that is provided by Cpanel. Your password score must be above 50. It will show when you type a password. After choosing a strong password again type it.
Then choose how much space you want to use for this email address. If you are going to use this email address for sending big files then make sure use unlimited space.
Now tick the box with the text “Send a welcome email with mail client configuration instructions.” and click on “Create Account Button.
When you click on Create Account it will create an email address for you. To see it scroll down. We have done creating our professional email address.
Now its time to set up an email client to send or receive emails. For that login to Cpanel and go to email address again. The scroll down and you will find the address that you have been created.
Click on setup email client. It will show you the list of email clients that you can you use. I am using email for windows. Scroll down and you will find “Mail Client Manual Settings“. You will find details here.
Setting Email Client
Press windows key on your keyboard and search for mail. It will show you windows default mail app. Click on it to open. It will open the email app. Now click on Accounts and then click Add Account.
Then click on “Advanced Setup” and choose “Internet Mail”. It will show you a login form.
In the first box “Account Name” enter any name that you want. Then enter your name. After that type incoming mail server that you will find in Cpanel. It should be like mail.yourdomain.com. Then choose IMAP from the dropdown list. Now enter your email address, username, and password. Then enter Outgoing mail server which should be same as the incoming server. Now untick Require SSL boxes. and click sign in.
